Scott Layman
Scott Layman holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and has 30+ years’ experience in administration, sales, international logistics/supply chain management, and global expansion projects. Scott brings a personal working knowledge of Mercury engines to Manabi Marine Products.
During his 16 years as the Director of Sales and Marketing for Cigarette Racing Team, Inc., Scott equipped thousands of boats with Mercury engines. Scott also personally equipped many race boats with Mercury engines during a racing career that included several offshore racing championships and an induction into the APBA Hall of Champions.
Other previous roles for Scott include Managing Director of Cuestex, Inc., a project management company and exporter of “unique” marine and automotive products, International Director of Sales for Zyvax, Inc., a specialty chemicals company, and participation on a championship motorcycle endurance road racing team.
Jane Layman
Jane Layman brings an accounting background to Manabi Marine Products with 9 years’ experience as Director of International Finance for Zyvax, Inc., which included worldwide banking activities, currency analysis and conversion, and international transfers of commercial containers.
Other certifications include a Series 7 General Securities License and a Real Estate Broker License. Jane was a member of the Rotary Club of Gilmer County, Georgia, and served as its president during 2009/2010. Jane also served as president of the Gilmer Arts and Heritage Association and participated in many community theater events, including writer/director of an annual Easter Passion Play.
